Former Stowmarket Town defender Phill Weavers agrees Mildenhall Town move

Mildenhall Town have won the race to secure Phill Weavers' services for the 2019/20 Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division season.

The defender recently became available following his departure from Stowmarket Town, for whom he made 88 appearances since arriving in December 2016.

Weavers previously captained Bury Town, but he will now begin a stint at Recreation Way.

Mildenhall manager Ricky Cornish said: "Colin (Vowden, assistant) and I are delighted to have added Phill to the squad.

"He is a solid defender with a good left foot that fits into our philosophy of wanting to play decent football. He is an excellent addition to the squad."
