James McCabe becomes the latest player to sign for Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division side Mildenhall Town




A busy summer of transfer activity has continued at Mildenhall Town today with the signing of James McCabe.

Like recent additions Aaron Turner and Alex Steed, the versatile midfielder will be well known at Recreation Way having had a previous spell with the club.

Last season he was a part of the Lakenheath side that impressed on their way to finishing fifth in the Thurlow Nunn League First Division North, racking up 38 appearances and scoring eight goals.

Mildenhall manager Ricky Cornish said: "We are delighted to have Macca back at the football club after some time away at Lakenheath.

"Macca is another winner, he is versatile and also brings a wealth of experience on and off the pitch, which will help the younger members of the squad. Colin (Vowden, assistant) and I are very happy to have him on board."

McCabe has turned out for a handful of other teams, including Soham Town Rangers, Godmanchester Rovers and Histon.
