Scott Chaplin swaps Stowmarket Town for fellow Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division side Mildenhall Town

Manager Ricky Cornish has continued to shape his Mildenhall Town squad with the addition of Scott Chaplin from Stowmarket Town.

Chaplin arrives at Recreation Way with a vast amount of experience in the Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division, having been a part of the Hadleigh United squad that won the title in 2013/14 and the Felixstowe & Walton United side that earned promotion as runners-up in 2017/18.

More recently the midfielder, who has also turned out for Bury Town and Needham Market, has been a part of the set-up at Stowmarket, for whom he scored eights goals in 40 appearances last term.

Cornish said: "I am delighted to have Scotty on board. I have known him a long time and he can play in a variety of midfield positions.

"He gives us that bit more experience and he has a keen eye for a goal too. I am really excited to have added him to our squad."

Chaplin is the second player to have swapped Stowmarket for Mildenhall in recent days following Phill Weavers' switch between the two clubs.
