Newmarket confirmed as planned host of racing's resumption with action on four days in a row

Newmarket's Rowley Mile has been confirmed as one of seven hosting racecourses for the planned resumption of racing.

The course will hold meetings on four consecutive days between June 4-7, which includes both the QIPCO 2,000 and 1,000 Guineas on June 6 and 7 respectively.

The Group 1 Coronation Cup – traditionally run at Epsom – will also be held at Newmarket on Friday, June 5.

Newmarket also previously hosted the one-mile four-furlong contest during the two World Wars in 1915–16 and 1943–45.

Meanwhile, the sport is set to get back under way on Monday, June 1 at Newcastle, with Kempton Park, Yarmouth, Lingfield Park, Haydock Park and Chelmsford City all holding fixtures during the first eight days of the sport's resumption.
