Ultimate Dodge win two gold medals and a bronze at the British Dodgeball Leicester Junior Open

Ultimate Dodge continued their positive start to the new season by collecting two golds and a bronze at the weekend’s British Dodgeball Leicester Junior Open.

After previous success at events in Derby and Nottingham this term, the Newmarket-based club has now collected a total of seven medals and five trophies.

It was the Under-11 and Under-13 teams that returned from New College Leicester with the top prizes, while the Under-16 side bounced back from their narrow defeat in the semi-final to win their bronze medal encounter 12-0.

Head coach Michael Grant, who trains the teams at Newmarket Leisure and the Ellesmere Centre in Stetchworth, said: “It has been an unbelievable start to the season, especially seeing just one defeat in each team’s loss column.

“It is very pleasing from a coach’s point of view to see the things they learn at training being used at competitions.”

* In other news, the Under-11 School Games will be hosted at Newmarket Leisure Centre in January 2019.
