Mildenhall Town captain Luke Butcher picks his All-Time best XI
Luke Butcher has become a firm favourite of the supporters since joining Mildenhall Town in 2015.
The centre-back was a key figure in the club's recent triumphs, captaining the team to the Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division title and back-to-back League Challenge Cup final victories.
As you might have expected, much of his selection comes from that successful period, but he has also delved in to his stints with Newmarket Town and Lakenheath.
GK: Josh Pope
Popey was a fantastic goalkeeper for us at Mildenhall. He's a quality lad as well.
LB: Ricky Cornish
The busiest bloke I know! Ricky absolutely hates losing, which made him the player he was.
He had a great left foot back in the day!
CB: Colin Vowden
Cannot ever remember Vowdy losing a header when we played in the same team together. A great defender.
CB: Rob Ruddy
My partner through the trophy-winning seasons at Mildenhall. He seems to get better every season.
RB: Aron Rutter
I had to squeeze Rutts into this team at right-back. He was a wizard with the ball and had a great delivery.
LW: Paul Betson
Unbelievably fit and very professional as well. The nicest bloke in football!
CM: Gareth Simpson
Simmo has got better and fitter with age. He makes a difference in every game he plays in.
CM: Matt Green
Cut from the same cloth! Can be nasty and horrible in midfield – I'd want him in the trenches with me!
RW: Stephen Spriggs
I played with Spriggsy at different times down the years and he has always been quality.
He can score goals from anywhere on the pitch.
CF: Dan Brown
A very under-rated forward in my opinion. He bullies defenders and knows where the net is.
He will always give 100 per cent work rate as well.
CF: Chris Bacon
A very good goalscorer. Never needed many chances to score a goal and always seemed to be in the right place at the right time.
