Benkaat Nero will have the inside launch-pad when going for glory in the Coral Greyhound Olympic final at Hove on Sunday after being drawn in trap one.

The Mark Wallis trained dog booked his spot in the final of the 515 metre Category Two contest at the weekend when finishing second behind Droopys Norris in the second semi-final.

On Boxing Day the Lakenheath handler will attempt to win the Henlow Cesarewitch for the second year in succession after two of his representatives made it through to the final of
the Category Two competition.

After taking last year’s race with the now retired Reel Trickyone, Wallis will this time round be relying on Blackstone Marco and Vanfrenchie after both progressed through from Thursday’s semi-finals.

Blackstone Marco sealed his spot in the final with a win in the opening semi-final, while Vanfrenchie booked the sixth and
final spot when claiming third in the second semi-final.
