The semi-final places for both the Newmarket Snooker and Billiards League snooker and billiards individual competitions have been decided.
In the pick of the billiards draw Stevie Kerr played team mate Karl Bursford with Kerr handicapped in the competition by 100 points having to reach 250 to Karl’s 150.
Bursford did manage to get to 97 before Kerr ran out the winner with a 45 unfinished break, having had a 72, 59 and 42 in the game.
Elsewhere Soham captain Kevin Peacock defeated Peter Johnson 150-138 with breaks of 19,19, 23 and 25 with Johnson hitting a 38 to set up a match with Kerr.
In the bottom half of the draw Jason Browes beat Larry Wargen 150-91 and Paul Jefferies beat Chris Hibberd 150-82
In the individual snooker competition the semi-finalists are Peacock, Jonny Mutch, Steve Debenham and Shane Challis.
