Newmarket RUFC will be looking to chalk up their third win in a row when they visit Wisbech on Saturday (3pm).
Dave Sayer’s side return to Eastern Counties Greene King League Division One action after a two week break this weekend, and will be hoping to pick up from where they left off.
Back-to-back home wins over Thurston (15-5) and Ipswich YM (32-6) have given Newmarket’s hopes of avoiding relegation a timely boost as they head into their last four games of the campaign.
Newmarket (10th) visit third place Wisbech on Saturday hoping to continue what has been their best run of results so far this season.
Sayer said: “Wisbech are a big, powerful side and we’ll be the underdogs as they can still finish second.
“To win would be fantastic but I’ll set my stall early and will be pleased with a losing bonus point.”
Wisbech trail leaders Ely by 10 points, and second place Wymondham by eight points, but will look to their unbeaten home league record this season as reason to be confident of getting back to winning ways against Newmarket this weekend.
