Stuart Harrison struck gold on Saturday with a silver fish lake record.
Harrison, fishing from Peg four in Jeagor Farm Lakes carp/silver match, bagged 41lb 13oz.
Paul Brown, on Peg 3, caught 19lb 15oz for second spot, while Stuart Sellers was third, on Peg 11, with 15lb 15oz. Gary Harrison, on Peg 17, bagged 15lb 13oz to finish fourth.
In the carp section, Victor Gladwell came top with a 22lb 11oz bag from Peg 6. Second place went to Eddie Willis, on Peg 12, with 17lb 2oz.
Davey Brown came in third sppot on Peg 15 with 15lb, while Stuart Sellers was fourth on Peg 11 with 9lb. The next matches are on Sunday (June 21) and Saturday, July 4.
The match lake will be closed on Friday, June 26, for an evening match, but the large lake will be open as usual.
n Jeagor Farm Lakes was also the venue for a charity match in aid of Crohns disease.
Four anglers fished a total of 180 hours from 8pm on Friday, June 5, through to 8pm on Saturday. The anglers took 168lb between them in just 12 hours.
On the Saturday, they were joined by eight others to fish two matches — a six hour match followed by a five hour one, with a combined weight counting from both.
Stuart Sellers took top spot with a total combined weight of 115.15lb.
Second place went to Victor Gladwell (69.6lb), third spot to Robert Coleman (61.8lb) while Chris Clarke was fourth with 59.1lb. Fred Schultheiss came in fifth on 55.3lb.
n Blackdyke Trout Fishery will be closed to the general public tomorrow (June 19) and Saturday, and Sunday, June 28, for corporate events.
Fishing has been challenging again this week with the changes in weather. Mark Nielson was top rod with eight to black hopper lures, blobs and drys all taking fish.
