Ely Roller Hockey Club have qualified for the finals of the National Under-20s Cup for the second year in a row.
The team of Hattie Ford, Max Dunand, Nico Pembrey, Will Foreman, Vicky Moffat and Emily Barrow set up a final with Soham, where they will bid to avenge their 7-1 first group game defeat (Pembrey) in a match which saw Soham fielding six of the England Under-20s squad.
A hat-trick from Dunand against Herne Bay was enough to help them qualify though, as they won 5-2 with Pembrey and Barrow also on target to set up a final with Soham.
n Ely Under-17s played the Eastern Counties tournament, winning one of three games.
In-between losing 3-2 to Cottenham in their first game (Ryan Norton 2) and 4-1 in their final match against a strong King’s Lynn (Norton), they beat Peterborough 5-0.
