Cornamaddy Jumbo created history tonight (Sunday) after winning the Friends of Sittingbourne Grand National to become the first greyhound in the sport’s history to hold all three major hurdling titles at the same time.

Having already won the William Hill Springbok and William Hill Champion Hurdle earlier this year the son of Ardkill Jamie, who is trained in Lakenheath by Mark Wallis, added the Category One prize to his name with a half-a-length victory over Lenson Razdazl.

Earlier in the night the five-times champion trainer sent out Blonde Razor to finish third in the final of the Category Two John Smith’s Kent Derby.

Wallis will be hoping he can land another major Category One prize on Sunday after Ilewin Allot booked his place in the final of the RPGTV Henlow Derby with victory in the opening semi-final.
