Military March forced to pull out of Investec Derby with injury setback
The Saeed bin Suroor-trained Military March has been withdrawn from the Investec Derby due to a setback suffered in training.
The New Approach colt, who is owned by Godolphin, was the fourth favourite to win the Classic at Epsom on July 4.
However, an injury will prevent the three-year-old from taking his chance in the showpiece race.
Newmarket-based Bin Suroor said: “Military March has had a setback and unfortunately will have to miss the Derby next week. We will give him plenty of time and hopefully he will be back racing later in the season.”
Military March finished fourth in the QIPCO 2,000 Guineas earlier this month.
