Waterlogged pitch forces postponement of Mildenhall Town's home game against Haverhill Rovers

Tonight's scheduled Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division encounter between Mildenhall Town and Haverhill Rovers has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

The two sides were due to meet for the second time this season, with Mildenhall having won the reverse fixture 4-1 on September 9 – a night in which youngster Ben Nolan helped himself to a first ever senior hat-trick.

However, following an inspection this afternoon, a local referee deemed the Recreation Way playing surface to be unplayable and a new date for the game will announced in due course.

It means 11th-placed Mildenhall's next match will be on Saturday away at Gorleston, while Rovers (10th) will play host to high-flying Norwich United (both 3pm).
