Newmarket's Links Golf Club to allow members back to play on Wednesday
Newmarket-based Links Golf Club will reopen for play on Wednesday.
After a seven-week hiatus, the UK Government announced that golf will be able to resume – along with other outdoor sports such as tennis – as part of early moves to ease the country's coronavirus pandemic lockdown.
Golf in Suffolk responded on Twitter by writing that not all clubs in the area would be ready to go on Wednesday and called for patience.
However, Links this evening have confirmed that the course on Cambridge Road will be available for its members, with tee times from 7am to 6.30pm each day at 10-minute intervals.
The club has had to implement a number of measurements to meet the necessary health and safety guidelines, all of which can be viewed by clicking here.
