Cambridge United attacker Tom Knowles signs a new contract with the League Two side

Former Newmarket Town player Tom Knowles has signed a new two-year deal with Cambridge United.

The attacker, who joined the League Two side from the Jockeys in 2016, had a handful of loan spells last term before returning to score for Cambridge in their final home game of the season against Morecambe.

And now the Burwell-based 20-year-old has been rewarded with fresh terms at the Abbey Stadium.

The former Bottisham Village College student has made a total of five competitive appearances in all competitions for Cambridge.
