Household names going back to Isleham event
The organisers and committee of the Isleham One Day Event are gearing up to welcome nearly 400 riders to their annual event this weekend.
While entries for the event, which is held at the Whitehall Farm Eventing Complex, are a little down on years gone by, a number of the sport’s biggest names have confirmed their attendance.
British Equestrian’s number one ranked Ollie Townend, who intends to take five of his horses, will be competing on the Sunday.
On the same day, previous grand-slam rider and Rio Olympic Games rider Pippa Funnell will enter with three horses, while internationals Issy Taylor (five horses) and Piggy French (five horses) have planned rides over the weekend.
Entry for spectators on both days is free, but organisers do ask for any donations for this year’s chosen charity, which is East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices.
