Newmarket Town pick up three points at Brantham Athletic

Newmarket Town returned to winning ways in the Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division on Saturday.

After seeing their unbeaten run in the league come to an end on Tuesday with a 2-0 defeat at home to Godmanchester Rovers the Jockeys made it win number six in the league for the season with a 2-0 victory at Brantham Athletic.

Elsewhere in the league Mildenhall Town thumped Wivenhoe Town 5-1, while Ely City are still pointless after going 2-1 at home to fellow strugglers Diss Town.

In the Ryman League Division One North Soham Town Rangers failed to come away with maximum points at lowly Cray Wanderers after being held to a 1-1 draw.

Rangers will look to rediscover the winning touch when taking on Romford at home tomorrow. Kick-off 7.45pm.
