FA CUP DRAW: Newmarket handed home tie while Mildenhall Town and Ely City both start away

Newmarket Town's road to Wembley in this season's Emirates FA Cup will begin with a home extra preliminary round encounter against Arlesey Town on Saturday, August 10.

The Bedfordshire-based visitors, who finished eighth in the Spartan South Midlands League last term, reached the first round proper of the world's oldest cup competition in 2012 and 2013.

If the Jockeys can come through that tie they will be at home again in the preliminary round on August 24 when either fellow Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division side Walsham-le-Willows or Peterborough Northern Star will be their visitors.

Mildenhall Town, meanwhile, will be on the road to Biggleswade first of all, with the winner advancing through to host Step 4 outfit Yaxley.

Ely City will also be on their travels, first up at Potton United and then at Wisbech Town if they can advance through.

As for BetVictor League North Division side Soham Town Rangers, they will enter the competition in the preliminary round with a home tie against the victor of the Biggleswade United versus Swaffham Town.

The Greens took on Swaffham in a pre-season friendly earlier this week and were beaten 3-1.
