Ex-Man United winger heads for Soham exit
Soham Town Rangers midfielder Luke Chadwick has called time on his playing career to take up a coaching role with his boyhood club Cambridge United.
The 35-year-old joined the Greens last November following a professional stint that had seen him play for the likes of Manchester United, West Ham United, Stoke City and Norwich City.
Chadwick went on to feature on a regular basis for the Greens following his November arrival, but he will now take up the position of the academy’s new foundation phase lead coach at the Abbey Stadium.
“I’m absolutely delighted and it’s great to come back to the club that I’ve supported and love, to have such an important job coaching young players within the academy,” he told the U’s website.
