Indian Premier League bowler Ankit Sharma signs for East Anglian Premier League side Mildenhall
Mildenhall Cricket Club have pulled off a transfer coup ahead of the 2019 season getting under way with the signing of a player who has Indian Premier League experience.
Left-arm spinner Ankit Sharma has agreed to join the Wamil Way-based club, having previously turned out for the likes of Deccan Chargers, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Rising Pune Supergiant and most recently Rajasthan Royal.
From his 54 first-class outings the 27-year-old has taken 119 wickets at an average of 44.70, while he has dismissed a further 42 batsmen from 57 Twenty20 appearances.
Sharma has also previously proved his worth with the bat – his top score currently stands at 104.
Mildenhall begin their East Anglian Premier League campaign away at newly-promoted Saffron Walden on April 20.
