Busy times as Newmarket Tennis Club reopens its doors to members
Newmarket Tennis Club has made a thriving return to action following the lifting of recent Covid-19 restrictions.
Head coach Bruce Tarran is busy with one-to-one coaching sessions, while members are having to adapt to singles play.
“I am used to coaching in groups but now it is individually and I am doing around eight hours a day,” said Tarran. “I’ll need another eight-week break soon!
“We are really busy, which is great, but tennis clubs in England tend to be about doubles.
"We are putting together a singles ladder and a WhatsApp group for our members so they have people to play against.
"The main thing is people are happy that tennis is now able to be their main source of exercise."
