Emmanuel Osei swaps Mildenhall Town for fellow Bostik League North Division side Heybridge Swifts

Mildenhall Town winger Emmanuel Osei has joined fellow Bostik League North Division side Heybridge Swifts.

Osei, who has played for a number of non-league team including Needham Market, signed on at Recreation Way last summer.

He went on to make 27 appearances – only two players have made more this season – but he has now joined play-off hunting Heybridge.

Following the news of his departure, Osei backed the club he has left behind to successfully fight off the threat of relegation.

Posting on the Mildenhall Facebook page, Osei wrote: "I would just like to thank all the fans at Mildenhall. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time! Best fans I’ve probably played for out of the million non-league clubs I’ve been at. Wish the club all the best and the team is more than good enough to beat the drop."

The attacker made his Swifts debut on Saturday but could not stop his new club from slipping to a 3-0 defeat at Felixstowe & Walton United.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Blake Horton is also set for a stint away from Mildenhall, having linked up with lower-league Lakenheath on a dual registration deal.
