Former Tottenham Hotspur trainee Hugo Atkinson joins Bostik League North Division side Mildenhall Town

Mildenhall Town manager Dean Greygoose has bolstered his defensive options with the signing of Hugo Atkinson.

Following last week's 4-2 defeat at home to Coggeshall Town, Greygoose revealed that he was keen to readdress the balance within his side, having seen them ship 22 goals from their last seven outings in all competitions.

And he has started the process with the arrival of Atkinson, who spent time as part of the youth academies at Tottenham Hotspur, Charlton Athletic and Watford.

More recently the 19-year-old has played for Mildenhall's fellow Bostik League North Division side Romford, as well as National League outfit Ebbsfleet United.

Atkinson is expected to be in the squad for tomorrow's trip to league-leading Bowers & Pitsea (3pm).
