Copford 211-7 lost to Mildenhall 349-9 by 138 runs
Mildenhall travelled to newly-promoted Copford on Saturday looking to bounce back from their defeat last time out against league leaders Wivenhoe.
The visitors batted first and had 43 on the board in just six overs.
Joe Reed (20) was out caught by Sinclair off Russell Measor, which put together Mildenhall’s two Australians Steve Taylor and Peter Worthington.
Together they took command and added 150 runs, going along at five an over.
Taylor finally fell for 79 when he was caught by Keiran Savill off Ben Rawson, while Worthington batted on to reach a century in the 33rd over.
He eventually fell for 112, but Matt Allen (27), Hamzah Ikram (29) and Adam Trett (54 no) added big runs to help Mildenhall break a six-year record score.
In reply, Taylor claimed three wickets, but Mildenhall were unable to bowl out their hosts, who dug in to claim extra points.
n Mildenhall II were also triumphant, thanks to their five-wicket win over Dunmow.
Inviting the visitors to bat first, the Mildenhall bowling attack were able to snare all 10 wickets for just 133 runs.
Matt Heywood was the pick of the bowlers as he ended with figures of 5-12.
It was Tom Heywood that did the most significant damage with the bat, scoring 41 runs to help the hosts ease to victory.
n Mildenhall III made it a hat-trick of wins for the club as they defeated Needham Market by 65 runs.
James Taylor top-scored with 80 as hosting Mildenhall reached 217-5 from their 45 overs.
In reply, Jack Horn took four Needham wickets as they were dismissed for 152.
n Mildenhall IV lost to Brantham by 19 runs, while Mildenhall Ladies won by 49 runs over Topcroft.
