West Row man in court in connection with stabbing in Wicken
A West Row man has appeared in court charged in connection with a stabbing in Wicken.
Mark Gambie, 56, of Victoria Close, appeared at Cambridge Crown Court today. During the 15 minute hearing he pleaded guilty to conspiracy to damage property and not guilty to conspiracy to damage property with intent to endanger life.
He was released on bail.
Christopher Wing, 59, of Nimbus Way in Newmarket, was due to submit pleas today but the court was told he could not attend because of a 'serious medical episode'.
Wing faces five charges: Conspiracy to damage property with intent to endanger life, conspiracy to damage property, wounding with intent, unlawful wounding, and having an article with a blade or point.
The trial will start on April 8.
