The Green Man pub at Six Mile Bottom has been put on the market.
Run by Richard Clarke and partner Jackie James the pub is also a favoured watering hole for former footballer and actor Vinnie Jones and has had a strong connection to the nearby Six Mile Bottom Shoot.
Richard, who has been a gamekeeper since the age of 17, is selling the pub in order to concentrate on the nearby shoot which he owns.
He said: “My experience as a gamekeeper has allowed me to select the finest steaks for the pub during my nine years here.
“I am selling the pub to concentrate on the Six Mile Bottom Shoot, which is busier than ever.” “The shoot is a five minute drive from the pub and new owners will benefit by catering for breakfasts and shoot dinners at the pub.”
The Green Man is on the market for £495,000 freehold and £85,000 for a new free of tie lease with an option to purchase the freehold.
It offers dining for 60, lounge bar and three en-suite letting bedrooms, plus function/conference suite.
