Shoplifters target Soham pet store, stealing £1500 worth of stock

Shoplifters who stole more than £1,000 worth of stock from a Soham pet store have left owners 'seriously out of pocket'.

Earlier in the month shoplifters targeted Scampers Petcare, stealing £1,500 worth of dog collars, harnesses and coats from the Northfield Road.

And now Cambridgeshire Police are wanting to speak to two people they believe are connected to the incident, which happened on February 11, and have released CCTV stills from the store.

Police are appealing for these two people to speak with officers in connection with a theft from Scampers Petcare in Soham (29797264)

PC Malcom Wood said: "This theft has left the shop seriously out of pocket.

"We are keen to speak to anybody who is in the shop at the time, who recognises those pictured, or who thinks they may have been offered these dog accessories for sale."

PC Wood asked anyone with information about the theft to contact Cambridgeshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 35/10576/20 or using the force's website at cambs.police.uk/report.

You can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
