A supermarket in Mildenhall has put its Christmas decorations to good use by donating them to a care home in the town.
Staff at the Mildenhall branch of Sainsbury’s handed over a selection of the colourful decorations that were on display throughout December at the Recreation Way Store to residents at Mildenhall Lodge care home on Wednesday.
Decorations handed over included cardboard Christmas trees, stars and gingerbread men.
“We had lots of really nice comments about our decorations this year so I’m really pleased that we can give them a new lease of life,” said Alan Bedwell, store manager.
“I hope that they get as much enjoyment out of them as our colleagues and customers did last year.”
Thanking the store for their donation was the home’s spokeswoman Frances Owen.
“I’d like to thank the team at Sainsbury’s in Mildenhall for this generous donation. We will certainly be putting them to good use,” she said.
