Police are warning people to be vigilant after a spate of burglaries in Forest Heath.
Properties in Mildenhall, Beck Row and Brandon have been targeted by thieves in the last week.
This follows break-ins last week in Beck Row.
A business in Mildenhall High Street was broken into over the weekend and glass in a side door smashed. Police say nothing is believed to have been stolen.
On Monday copper piping and electrical cabling was stolen from a building site in The Street, Beck Row and a burglary was carried out in Boeing Way, Mildenhall.
Two properties in Brandon were also targeted, one in Willow Close in the early hours of Sunday March 1. Thieves made off with jewellery and £90 cash.
An attempt was also made to break into a property in Yew Drive between 7pm March 7 and 8 pm on March 9.
Detective Sergeant Claire Burgess of Bury St Edmunds Priority Crime Team said: “Although not all of these burglaries have involved insecurities, I would urge residents to always ensure that they keep their doors locked at all times and to secure their windows if out or overnight.
“The majority of burglaries involve entry being gained through a rear door or window so if it is possible to secure your back garden then I strongly advise people to do so.”
Anyone with information about these incidents should contact Ds Burgess on 101 or Crimestoppers 0800 555111.
