Police found a cannabis factory in Cheveley after officers were called to a High Street house.

Last night Cambridgeshire Police found more than 35 plants in the house after being sent there on an unrelated matter.

Officers seized the drugs - which would have had a street value of about £30,000 - along with growing equipment.

A 39-year-old man from the village was arrested on suspicion of producing cannabis and was taken to Parkside Police Station, Cambridge, where he remains in custody.
