Police have recovered cash and cannabis after raiding a Red Lodge house.

Yesterday Suffolk Police searched a property in Ash Court where they seized a quantity of the Class B drug and a large amount of cash.

A 20-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply, money laundering and for cultivation of cannabis.

The pair were questioned Bury St Edmunds police station and have been released pending further investigation.

On the same day officers raided a Lakenheath house where they found six cannabis plants, which were seized by police.

Latest figures from the Office for National Statistics show drug crimes in west Suffolk have climbed by six per cent.
