Fitness group Hour of Power held its first outdoor class in East Anglia in Red Lodge on Sunday.

Former winner of BBC show Last Man Standing Rajko Radovic took the pilot session at St Christopher’s primary school to raise funds for seven of its pupils’ participation in an international virtual gaming competition.

The team of seven girls, aged 10 and 11, from the Red Lodge school left for Brazil on Saturday to compete in the Robo Cup Junior International Championships.

Hour of Power organisers held a fete earlier in the day and will give all proceeds towards the £14,000 cost of the trip.

Activities included fairground rides, bouncy castle, sports races, raffles and games.

Hour of Power was originally brought to Newmarket by Red Lodge fitness gurus Julie and Ian Howell in October 2012. “It has grown from there,” Julie said.

“On Sunday Rajko came and took the class and was awesome as always. It was just what we wanted. We included kids and we included the community and next year we plan to come back bigger and better.”
