Newmarket’s historic Rowley Mile racecourse is set for one of its most fashionable days of the years.
As well as being the opening day of the new-look Dubai Future Champions Festival tomorrow is Ladies’ Day and features a best dressed competition sponsored by The Spa at Bedford Lodge Hotel, with thousands of pounds worth of exciting prizes up for grabs for well-dressed racegoers.

London-based designer Jane Taylor has partnered with Newmarket Racecourses as official milliner for the event and has designed a fabulous five-piece capsule collection that will be on show.
“I am thrilled to be the Autumn Ladies’ Day official milliner and cannot wait to unveil my celebratory collection. There is so much heritage and style to draw on from Newmarket it has been such a pleasure to design these pieces,” she said.
With some of the best equine talent of the future highlighted in the top quality racing over the two days, some talented apprentice jockeys have been showcasing the capsule collection including Tom Marquand, who is currently leading the UK Apprentice Jockeys’ Championship with 49 wins to date, Sammy Jo Bell,
who was part of the winning all-female team at the Dubai Duty Free Shergar Cup and the leading jockey of the international Meeting and Megan Nicholls daughter of champion jumps trainer Paul Nicholls who is apprenticed to trainer Clive Cox.
