The school held informative assemblies for the students with lessons themed on internet safety.
The day had the theme ‘Play your part for a better internet’, which offered the opportunity to focus on the creative and positive things that children and young people are doing online, as well as the role that we all play in helping to create a better internet.
Neil Fisher, Assistant Head of Newmarket Academy said: “We are dedicating this day to raising awareness of global e-safety.
“Taking the time to improve the e-safety knowledge of our students will go towards reducing the negative effects that the internet can have.
“Newmarket Academy is committed to developing an e-safety culture that everyone understands.
“By delivering this we will truly equip our students with the knowledge they need to use the internet safely.”
