Newmarket Library is launching a new club for people who are keen to read more this year.

The Reading Challenges group is being set up with the help of avid local reader, Samantha Street, who managed to read 50 books from the library last year.

James Powell, Suffolk Libraries marketing and communications manager said: “Everyone will then meet up regularly to share recent books they have read and let everyone know how they are doing.”

The first meeting will be held at the library in The Guineas on Tuesday January 27 at 11am.

Local crime author Alison Bruce will also be running a regular reading group at the library.

The Newmarket Reading Round will meet every Friday during school term time between 1pm and 3pm starting tomorrow.
