Met Office issues yellow weather warning for Suffolk
Forecasters have issued a weather warning for Newmarket as heavy rain sweeps across East Anglia.
Today the Met Office has issued a yellow warning, meaning there is a chance the heavy rain could lead to flooding and transport disruption.
Because of the downpours spay and road flooding could mean difficult driving conditions, the weather service's warning said.
And the Met Office said there is a small chance that some rural villages could become cut off and the possibility for train and bus services to be delayed or cancelled.
Heavy rain is expected to continue in Newmarket for the rest of the day.
The warning is in place across the region until midnight, but will remain in place for other parts of the county.
