A man is being treated for serious internal injuries after two cars collided on the B1112 at Eriswell yesterday.

The collision happened around 5.20pm yesterday just south of the roundabout at the junction with Lords Walk when a Rover 75 collided with a Mini Cooper.

The Mini driver, in his 30s, sustained serious internal injuries, while the driver of the Rover, in his late teens, sustained a hip injury and bruising. The road was closed while police examined the scene.

The accident was close to where USAF Staff Sergeant Hunter Davis, 27, based at RAF Mildenhall, was killed in a collision in June.

Police are asking anyone who saw the collision to contact Roads Policing officers by dialling Suffolk Police on 101, quoting CAD number 289 of yesterday, Tuesday 2 August.
