Learning at home and outdoors as school shuts for coronavirus
We have had a great response from Journal readers who we asked to send in photographs of their children at home during the current coronavirus crisis.
And its obvious parents from some of the pictures we have been sent that many are doing their best to mix schooling with some outdoor education including seed planting in the back garden and some nature study down by the river.
If you would like to see your youngsters in the Journal, send a photograph with the children’s full names, age, and their school to email@example.com
Schools in the area are still open for vulnerable children and the children of key workers.
Suffolk County Council has launched a helpline for parents if their usual school is not open or have been unable to make alternate arrangements.
If parents are key workers or have a child that is classed as vulnerable they can call 01473 263985 and the council will liaise with schools to find them a place.
