Ely man arrested on suspicion of money laundering and dealing Class A drugs

An Ely man has been arrested in a police crackdown on drug dealers.

Yesterday officers from Peterborough CID and Cambridgeshire Police's Community Action Team raided properties in Ely, Cambridge and Peterborough.

A 62-year-old man from Ely, two woman aged 21 and 33 from Peterborough, and a 23-year-old man from Cambridge, were arrested on suspicion supplying of Class A drugs and money laundering.

A 39-year-old man from Peterborough was arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A drugs and handling stolen goods. He has since been released under investigation.

The other four have been bailed, to return to Thorpe Wood Police Station, Peterborough, on June 20.
