Police need to trace a motorcyclist who failed to stop after a crash in Kentford toady which left a cyclist with a serious head injury.
Officers were contacted just after 3pm to the crash on the B1506 at Kentford, near Newmarket.
The motorcyclist is believed to have rode off towards Newmarket.
Police and ambulance attended and found the cyclist – a man thought to be in 50s - with shoulder and arm injuries but it became apparent that he had also sustained a head injury and may have internal bleeding.
He was taken to Addenbrooke’s hospital by land ambulance.
The road was closed while initial enquiries got underway at the scene.
Police are asking the motorcyclist involved, anyone who saw the incident or anyone with information about the motorcycle or the person riding it to call Suffolk Police on 101, quoting CAD 271 of today, Tuesday 17 February.
