Police are appealing for information following an aggravated burglary in Fordham where an elderly couple were assaulted.

Four masked men entered the property in Lark Hall Road at 6.30pm on Friday (January 22). They threatened the occupants, a man and woman in their 70s, before assaulting them and leaving the scene with jewellery and cash.

The victims received minor injuries as a result of the incident.

A police spokesperson said: “This was a harrowing ordeal for the victims who have been left extremely shaken by the experience.

“It is vital that the offenders are apprehended as soon as possible and we’re appealing for the community’s help to identify those responsible.”

Police are keen to speak to anyone with information on the incident or who may have seen a vehicle entering the A142 (Fordham Bypass) between the Downfields roundabout and the Fordham Road roundabout shortly before 6.45pm on Friday evening.
