Crews tackle Newmarket High Street fire

Two fire engines were called to the scene of a fire in a first floor flat in High Street this afternoon.

At 1.35pm fire crews received reports of smoke coming from the premises.

On arrival, they found the flat alight and used breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet to control the blaze.

Crews left the scene at 2.24pm after damping down the area.
