Runners braved blustery weather and raised cash for charity in the second Burwell Beer Run on Sunday.

Organised by Jack Smith, 23, in memory of his father Neale who died from a heart attack in 2009, runners had to complete a two and half mile course round the village and drink a pint at four hostelries on the way.

This year the beer run raised £1,500 with 165 people taking part. Participating pubs were The Five Bells, the Royal British Legion, The Anchor and The Fox.
