Blue Peter star praises Kentford-based Animal Health Trust
Former Blue Peter presenter and Crufts commentator Peter Purves has praised the Kentford-based Animal Health Trust for life-saving surgery performed on his 10-year-old Dachshund Teddy.
When Teddy was admitted to he could not walk on his back legs. MRI scans confirmed Teddy had a slipped disc compressing his spinal cord with surgery was the only option to give him the best chance of a full recovery.
Dr Fabio Stabile performed the operation and Teddy has now been given the all clear.
“He is an old dog, but a strong dog, and everyone here has done a superb job getting him through this major operation so that he can walk and enjoy life again,” said Mr Purves.
