Baby rescued from car at Fiveways service station




A 14-month-old baby was rescued from a car in Barton Mills by firefighters after keys were accidentally locked inside.

Crews from Brandon Fire Station were sent to McDonald's, at the Fiveways roundabout service station just outside Mildenhall, at 10.41am today.

A Suffolk Fire and Rescue spokesman said when crews arrived on scene they found the 14-month-old locked in the car after the key had accidentally been locked inside.

Using small tools to open the car, the baby was freed within minutes and left in the safe care of its parents.

Crews left the scene just after 11am, the spokesman said.
