Medics from the East Anglian Air Ambulance attended a collision in Newmarket yesterday.
Dr Gemma Mullen and critical-care paramedic Rob Riches were dropped near the scene of the crash at around 12.20pm.
A member of the pubic then gave them a lift to the scene.
A spokesman for the East Anglian Air Ambulance said: “Dr Mullen and CCP Rob Riches treated a young man for injuries to his leg and abdomen before escorting him to Addenbrooke’s Hospital by EEAST ambulance.
“The patient is in a stable condition.”
