A14 reopens after lorry crash caused traffic chaos for morning commuters
The A14 is now open in both directions after a crash saw both carriageways closed for more than seven hours.
Emergency services have been on the scene between junctions 42 and 43 since 3.36am today after a lorry crashed into the central reservation.
The road was re-opened shortly before 11.45am and a police spokesman said traffic is now 'flowing
The incident saw drivers face up to one hour delays - with traffic tailbacks heading towards Newmarket.
A police spokesman said the driver of the lorry suffered shoulder injuries.
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 3.41am with reports of a collision on the A14, Bury St Edmunds.
"We sent an ambulance and an ambulance officer.
"One person was taken to West Suffolk Hospital for further care."
