Street artist inspired by skateboarding

Matt O’Niell, 22, paints large works inspired by the deprived areas skateboarders occupy to practice tricks.

Matt has been skateboarding for 12 years and producing art inspired by his hobby for the last six years.

He became involved with charity Artheads while receiving treatment at Focus 12 in April.

Seven of Matt’s works are being exhibited at Artheads’ headquarters, in the basement of Abbeycroft Leisure Centre, in Beetons Way.

Artheads hold a drop-in between 11am and 3pm on Thursday when Matt’s work can be viewed.
