In May, Red Rose Chain will begin their Shakespeare anniversary celebrations by bringing The Bard into their new theatre, The Avenue, in Gippeswyk Park, Ipswich, for the first time ever - with Richard III.

Never ones to shy away from the unexpected, be prepared for spine-chilling suspense mixed with comedy and seduction.

Joanna Carrick’s interpretation is an ideal choice for stubborn teenagers, or anyone looking to test their nerves in the face of Shakespeare’s bloodiest play.

Murder, jealousy, intrigue and treason – enter the theatre if you dare.

Richard III is one of a number of events being staged by the New Wolsey Theatre and Red Rose Chain, and it will run from May 6 to June 4.

Performances are at 7.30pm with Saturday matinees at 3.30pm.

Tickets and information are available from the New Wolsey Theatre, 01473 295900/www.wolseytheatre.co.uk or Red Rose Chain, 01473 603388/www.redrosechain.com.
